New vintage Beatles shirt designs heading into stores

Some new Beatles shirts will be showing up in U.S. stores next week to accompany the release of the much-awaited Beatles vinyl box on Tuesday, a spokesman for Live Nation, the Beatles North American merchandiser, told Beatles Examiner Thursday.

The new TRUNK! vintage high end shirts will retail for around $60 and be sold exclusively at Bloomingdale's. They feature designs with pictures taken mainly from various Beatles singles and albums. As pictured in this story, there are designs from Japanese 45 RPM singles for “Can't Buy Me Love” and “Yellow Submarine,” the “Let It Be” album, and American Beatles albums “Beatles '65,” “Meet the Beatles,” “The Beatles' Second Album” and “Beatles VI,” plus one shirt with a concert ticket montage.

The spokesman said the T-shirts will be available in limited quantities. Also available recently has been “Magical Mystery Tour” framed artwork and a restocking of last year's Target single boxes for “Hello Goodbye” b/w “I Am The Walrus,” “Let It Be” b/w “You Know My Name (Look Up the Number),” and “Can’t Buy Me Love” b/w “You Can’t Do That.”
